Meduza and Vintage Culture release their highly anticipated house weapon ‘Under Pressure’

Joining forces for their first official record together

Friday, 23 September 2022 – In a collaborative triumph, GRAMMY-nominated Italian trio Meduza and Brazilian artist Vintage Culture – two of dance music’s most acclaimed producers – have joined forces for their brand-new collab ‘Under Pressure’, released through Tomorrowland Music today! Their highly anticipated house weapon ‘Under Pressure’ comes in the shape of a progressive and melodic blend with mesmerizing melodies, sometimes deep and emotional, yet sometimes powerful and ecstatic. ‘Under Pressure’ is Meduza’s and Vintage Culture’s first official record together, bound to captivate dancefloors in gripping fashion.

'Under Pressure’ is out now via all platforms.

‘Under Pressure’ gives listeners that delirious and intoxicating feeling throughout the entire run, demonstrating both artists’ ear for a solid house production and combining their talents into one blissful output. ‘Under Pressure’ is part of a collection of exclusive festival releases by Tomorrowland Music under this year’s festival theme ‘The Reflection of Love’, celebrating the return of Tomorrowland after three years by gathering some of the biggest artists in electronic music on Tomorrowland’s record imprint.

Meduza: “We have been crossing paths and sharing line ups (and parties) with Vintage Culture for months, maybe years, so we inevitably had to get in the studio to create something together! We have been playing Under Pressure for a while in clubs and on main stages and it really moves the crowd. Ben Samama's understated and rhythmic vocal was the perfect cherry on top really giving the vibe we wanted.”

Vintage Culture: “From Ibiza to Vegas, ‘Under Pressure’ is receiving great reactions from fans around the world. ‘Under Pressure’ is my first original collaboration with Meduza. Ben Samama's vocal performance shines on this track and I'm very proud of the results. We're looking forward to finally releasing ‘Under Pressure’ to audiences everywhere.”

About Meduza
MEDUZA have lead the charge in returning house music to daytime radio across the globe with great success. In the space of two years they had become the biggest global streaming Italian artist in the history of music on both Spotify and Apple Music in Italy, a quite staggering achievement.

Their debut release, ‘Piece of Your Heart’ featuring Goodboys, has now seen over 2 billion streams globally, reaching the top 10 of the official charts in 20 countries. Certificated in 23 countries with multi-Diamond, Platinum and Gold around the world and the icing on the cake in 2019 a GRAMMY nomination in the best dance recording category.

The follow up single, ‘Lose Control’ with Goodboys and Becky Hill, made an unprecedented impact, reaching the UK Top40 in its first week, also notching upward of 2 billion cumulative streams, again top 10 in multiple countries and certifications in the same. A pattern being established!

These headline successes are also bolstered by an impressive catalogue of hand-picked remixes for the likes of MK, R+, Ed Sheeran and Faithless, displaying not only Meduza’s signature sound and energy, but also the raw ability to create a stand out club releases whenever called upon.

Move forward to late 2020 and the release of MEDUZA's 3rd single "Paradise" featuring Dermot Kennedy which has seen a repeat of the first 2 singles, with gold and platinum certifications in 24 countries with over a billion streams across all platforms. The Meduza juggernaut shows no sign of slowing down with their 4th single, ’Tell It To My Heart’ feat Hozier which rounded of 2021, reaching the UK charts as it continues to grow globally as its proceeding records have done.

The touring diary for Meduza continues to display its insatiable demand for the hottest act in electronic music from performing at the likes of Fabric (London), Elrow, Warehouse Project (Manchester), Green Valley Brazil and EDC Mexico to now settling into a residency at The Wynn, Las Vegas plus multiple main stage headline performances at some of the world’s biggest festivals around the globe. Alongside a dedicated North and South American tour run to come in 2022, Meduza continue to be the benchmark for dance music, globally.

About Vintage Culture
There is no stopping Vintage Culture right now. The Brazilian artist has gone from small-town dreamer to main stage headliner in just a few short years. He has had multiple chart-topping hits across both Billboard and Spotify, has secured his own residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas, has played epic shows everywhere from Coachella to Club Space in Miami and has picked up more than 1.5 billion global streams. All of this is because he has a work rate that is second to none and a passion for the party like no other.

Lukas Ruiz works with the same determination and focus as his hero Ayrton Senna. He was already established in Brazil and making his mark on the international stage when the pandemic hit, but he used the downtime to write over 200 tracks. That creative flurry gave rise to a new house sound that was more emotional and reflective of his personal feelings.

The results came in tunes like ‘It Is What It Is’ featuring Elise LeGrow with warm, rolling drums, expressive synths and stirring piano keys. That track made a global impact and picked up high-profile support from plenty of major players that have continued to come in ever since. In its wake, there have been other chart-topping hits on Defected like 'Nightjar' feat SHELLS and plenty more on vital labels like Insomniac, Ultra and Sony.

He has worked with John Summit, Goodboys, Solardo and Sonny Fodera and evolves his signature sound every time. His remixes of the likes of Rufus Du Sol, Bob Moses and Franky Wah prove just as popular - and have helped to make him a firm fixture on the world's most influential radio stations from BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM in the UK to NRJ in France, Slam FM in the Netherlands, SiriusXM in the USA and TripleJ in Australia, as well as the most streamed artist on all of Beatport.

As a DJ, Vintage Culture is no less focused. He famously likes to play as long as possible and up to four times a weekend in multiple different countries. His legendary sets take dancers on a whirlwind through every shade of house music and have made him one of the most in demand selectors on the planet: he's played sold-out shows in North and South America and Europe, has been the main stage attraction at Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival Festival and Ultra Music Festival and now hosts his own Vintage Culture residency at Hï Ibiza, the most famous club on the White Isle. On top of this, he has made his mark on Las Vegas with his residency with Tao Group Hospitality.

Back home, Lukas Ruiz is a national hero who has truly invigorated the Brazilian scene with his own label and festival brand, Só Track Boa Festival. It roughly translates as “good tracks only” and is known for its over-the-top production, explosive pyrotechnics and awe-inspiring ice canons at 25,000 capacity stadiums across Brazil and more recently in North America. All this comes after being made a cover star of both Rolling Stone Magazine Brazil and DJ Magazine’s international edition and being included in Forbes Magazine's influential 30 under 30 list.

Vintage Culture is an artist who has lived and breathed dance music since he was a boy, and now the scene cannot live without him.
