Tomorrowland Music and Selected. are teaming up for an exciting collaborative EP

Kicking off with the first release by Astrality, Jyll and Dillistone

Friday, 26 April 2024 – Tomorrowland Music and Selected. – two of dance music’s most esteemed record labels – are teaming up for an exciting collaborative EP, co-released through both imprints. The EP is made up of a string of brand-new productions by some of electronic music’s finest talents, kicking off with the first release ‘Heartbeat Slow’ by Astrality, Jyll and Dillistone today! ‘Heartbeat Slow’ comes in the shape of a melodic and atmospheric masterpiece, delivering an abundance of feel-good, emotive vibes and blissful vocals.

'Heartbeat Slow' is out now via all platforms.

Astrality: “This song was written by Jyll and Dillistone about 5 years ago and was collecting dust on their hard drives. Flash forward to end of 2023, Jyll decides to send me the demo of the track to see if I'm interested in producing it. As soon as I heard the hook, I immediately knew where the track had to be taken. Within hours messing around with my Prophet 6 I ended up with this Four Tet-ish syncopated rhythm and with loads and loads of pads reminiscent of Jon Hopkins' early work.”

Dillistone: “In our first session together, Jyll and I wrote ‘Slow Motion. It became a song we both fell in love with so much that we couldn't really let go of it until Astrality came along and managed to not just tie it together but to give it new life.”

More new music will be unveiled over the coming months leading up to Tomorrowland Belgium 2024. During the first weekend of Tomorrowland, Tomorrowland Music and German label & playlist giant Selected. will be joining forces to co-host the iconic Crystal Garden stage on Sunday July 21, including performances by Astrality, Ferreck Dawn, James Hype, Korolova, Meduza, Nu Aspect, Siege and more.

About Jyll
Jyll is a German singer-songwriter, who started to write songs to deal and reflect emotionally with her life experiences and life in general. For many years she just made music for herself to process her emotions before she started to play local concerts and work as a street musician.

In 2016 Jyll moved from her hometown Kassel to Berlin, where she was playing on the streets again while trying out different projects with other musicians — she started to join the transnational project „JJASMINE“ that became a longer collaboration. Out of personal reasons JJASMINE splitted up in 2018. Since then Jill started to work as a solo artist.

2019 Jyll moved back to her hometown Kassel to take her time to find her very own style and to think about where she wanna go as a solo artist. During this time Jyll wrote many songs and started to produce them by herself. In 2020 Jyll suddenly connected with the electronic artist Lexer through Instagram and started to work with him on a track as a vocalist and songwriter. Straight after that she did a collaboration together with Einmusik and Lexer. Their track „Leave you“, which was released on Einmusika on April 16th 2021, reached the progressive House Top 3 at the Beatport-Charts and the overall Top 100 Best Progressive House Tracks of 2021. After a while „Leave you“ got quite popular in the electronic scene, listed on popular Spotify-Playlist such as „New Music Friday Deutschland“ and „Chill Tracks“, got international airplays in the radio, played on the biggest festivals like Tomorrowland and EDC and a great support of artist like „Porter Robinson“, „Sultan & Shepard“ etc.

After the release of „Leave You“ Jyll started to collaborate with different international electronic artists for new tracks and projects as a vocalist and songwriter, started traveling around for writing sessions with different producers and songwriters and released tracks with Artists like Lane 8, Le Youth, JLV, Pretty Pink and on labels like Armada Music, One Seven Music, This Never Happened. And there’s so much more to come in 2023 - not only as a featured artist/songwriter but also as a solo artist. Jyll's Debut Indie-Pop-EP is currently getting produced in London, other solo tracks with different producers and a bunch of releases with great international artists are already on their way to be released.

A special Highlight of 2023 was her This Never Happened- Debut with the Release of „I will leave a Light on“ with Lane 8 and Le Youth - and added to that the Sultan & Shepard Remix of the Song. Both versions got great support by different online music magazines such as EDMtunes, EDM and Dancing Astronaut - who also called the original „I will leave a light on“ a top candidate for the „Track of the Year 2023“ and a huge playlist support by Spotify ( Mint, Chill Tracks, New Music Friday, Electronic Rising, Heartbeats, etc. ) Apple Music, iTunes and Beatport.

Beyond that, their track got included in big Radio-Podcasts by artists like Vintage Culture, Sam Feldt, Above & Beyond, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Sultan & Shepard and many more and reached different Charts such as „Trending Tracks“ on 1001Trackslist and „Top 100 Dance/ Electro Pop“.

As an artist and as a person Jyll constantly tries to evolve and to grow, to never be afraid of change while seeking for unfiltered transparency, deep emotions and honesty within her music - to create something people can really feel and identify with. Jyll’s unique voice and her very own songwriting is connecting dark emotive lyrics, catchy melodies and subliminal sadness - but never without a touch of hope and strength.
